The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a fantastic way for students to set a personal challenge and push their very own boundaries!
It embodies all of the qualities we look to instil in our young people each and every day; building traits such as confidence, resilience and self-esteem. It develops skills and attributes for life; inculcating team-work, problem-solving, motivation and mutual respect.
To achieve the Duke of Edinburgh award, students will need to complete 4 sections:
Skills, Volunteering, Physical and an Expedition.
Achieving this award allows students to enhance their CV, develop independence and give something back to their local community. But, perhaps most importantly of all, it provides an unforgettable experience with friends and colleagues with a shared sense of PRIDE and achievement.
Miss Green and a host of other staff will be delighted to help students along their Duke of Edinburgh journey, starting with Bronze in year 9 and Silver in years 10/11.
The Duke of Edinburgh is an unforgettable experience, make sure you don’t miss out!
